A car wash owner in Merced, Calif., told her local newspaper this week that social media has been the best method for generating new customers. Vanessa Arriaga, 32, and her husband, Austin, owners of Awesome Hand Car Wash and Detail, recently attended a small business program geared toward helping startup entrepreneurs realize the potential of social media to reach new customers.
“Because of our type of business, it’s more about showing what we do. We’re selling a service, so we show before and after pictures of detailing and all the different services,” they told the Merced Sun-Star this week.
