The Car Wash Show kicked off in Chicago on Monday morning as scores of car wash business owners, suppliers, and other industry leaders flooded 118,000-square-foot trade show floor. As the world’s largest car wash industry event, the gathering was expected to bring 6,000 visitors for the three-day conference.
With more than 300 exhibitors, there’s plenty to see. We’ve already published a good primer on what to expect at the show, but here are a few more last-minute resources to make the show even more effective and fun.
- Debra Gorgos, editor of Professional Carwashing & Detailing magazine, posted a great synopsis of the networking opportunities at The Car Wash Show. “There is an art to networking advantageously,” she writes, “and the key is to consider every person you meet as a possible associate.” She also includes a helpful list of questions to ask exhibitors.
- Download Twitter on your phone and then punch “#carwashshow” into the search field. If you’re not at the show, social media is a great way to get involved. If you are at the show, it’s a great way to get even more out of the event. Lots of exhibitors are posting tweets about their products along with their booth numbers, so you can see who’s who without spending time among booths you’re not interested in. It’s also a great place to find car wash related information, like this:
