Here’s one way you can give back this holiday season at your car wash business. A car wash in Kalispell, Montana has come up with a way to make every wash count in the days leading up to Christmas. From now until Dec. 23, a portion of all car wash sales will go to the Salvation Army.
The owners of Kalispell’s Auto-Mutt Dog & Car Wash began the promotion on Nov. 21. Now $4 from every wash will go toward charity. Business partners Bill Schottelkorb and Michael Blend told their TV station NBCMontana.com that they decided to start the promotion because business has been so good for them this year. They see this as a way to give back to the community in a big way.
“It’s been a good year for us, and so we just wanted to give back to the community,” Blend said. “The Salvation Army really does a lot of really good things for people. People can get meals there, they serve meals every day. People can do their laundry, and it’s just a great place.”
It’s not the first time the business has decided to give back. Last year, they donated $4 of each car wash sale to the Salvation Army as well. In all, they were able to raise $2,860. They’re hoping to break that impressive record this year.
