All the best businesses have a recognizable logo. In the car wash industry, it doesn’t get much better than a big red barn and a cow. Moo Moo Car Wash is opening its tenth location in Licking County, Ohio.
The Newark Advocate reports that the new building will cost about $2.75 million to bring to fruition. The price tag includes about $1 million in equipment. The building will replace an existing structure at the site, which will have to be demolished.
If all goes according to plan, the new location will open in October, adding a big red barn to the landscape. Not all barns are red though. The owners of the chain said each location is unique.
All Moo Moo Car Wash locations are built like barns, but not all are red. Each facility has its own nickname, such as The Golden Moo in Upper Arlington, Excowlibur in Dublin, and Grandmoo in Grandview. A name has not yet been selected for the Heath site, Roush said. “As the building comes alive, it creates its own name,” Roush said.
Water from Moo Moo Car Wash sites are recycled and each wash only uses 18 gallons compared to more than 100 for someone who washes in their own driveway. The company also boasts its use of eco-friendly soaps and waxes. Customers at Moo Moo washes use a touch screen to order their services.
