Peanut butter and jelly. Bonnie and Clyde. Chicken wings and car washes. That third pairing is the latest match made in heaven for the owners of a new car wash currently under construction in Columbus, Georgia. Juan Arevalo, owner of Los Amigos Tire, is adding the dual business to his existing property where he currently services vehicles.
A car wash employee told the Ledger-Enquirer that the business should be up and running in about six months. When it’s finished, the owner will essentially have three different operations. A car wash facility, a restaurant and a mechanic’s shop. For anyone currently operating an oil change or mechanic, the addition of a car wash can make a lot of sense. For the chicken wings, you need a bit more imagination.
Believe it or not, this isn’t the craziest combination we’ve heard about when it comes to food and a good wash. There’s a car wash in Australia that serves you sushi while you wait for your vehicle to get clean. And there’s a gas station that wants to hold wine tastings inside its convenience store. Plus there’s this newer diner in England that has a unique twist on the old American diners with traditional U.S. food and a neat car wash outside.
