Car Wash Marketing Tip: Why you need Facebook Likes

When it comes to Facebook advertising, you have a lot of options. If you are new to adverting on Facebook, you should focus on your Facebook likes to get started. Likes are cheaper than driving traffic to your web page and will help you discover who your true audience is.

Imagine you walked into an auditorium of 100 people and asked the question, “Who likes to take their car to a carwash?” How many people would raise their hand? It is hard to say, but what you do know it a certain amount of people would hold up their hand. They are not committing to buying anything, but they do connect with your service on some level. Everyone sitting there with their hands down has no interest in your product.

Facebook likes are cheap to purchase. You can buy them at a fraction of the cost that it would take to ask the same amount of people to visit your website directly. But, they are about as noncommital as people in an auditorium raising their hand saying they like car washes.

So Why Pay for Non-commital Facebook Likes?

The reason is simple. Let’s say you are in the auditorium and 70 raise their hand. 30 leave because they are simply not interested in having their car washed. Now you have an audience of 70 people who are relatively connected to your product. Driving traffic to your site is going to cost a little bit more money. So let’s say in our example you want to give everyone in the auditorium an air freshener with your logo on it. Each air freshener costs you $1. Now rather than spending $100 on air fresheners for people who may or may not be interested in your carwash, you only need to spend $70 on an audience who already connects with your service.

Targeted Campaigns

Spending money on Facebook advertising is very similar. Now that you have a page with ligament likes, you can post to your Facebook page. This could be anything from an offer to a blog post. You can then promote that post so that it shows up only on people’s page who liked your Facebook page. In the long run, you will save money, because you are only targeting individuals who connect with your message.
